(The children\u2019s choice was <em>Our Very Own Dog<\/em> by Amanda McCardie.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nibweb.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/61AM4MY4wQL._SX453_BO1204203200_.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-840\" src=\"http:\/\/nibweb.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/61AM4MY4wQL._SX453_BO1204203200_-273x300.jpg\" alt=\"61AM4MY4wQL._SX453_BO1,204,203,200_\" width=\"90\" height=\"99\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nibweb.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/61AM4MY4wQL._SX453_BO1204203200_-273x300.jpg 273w, http:\/\/nibweb.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/61AM4MY4wQL._SX453_BO1204203200_.jpg 455w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 90px) 100vw, 90px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nicola\u00a0was also given\u00a0the very first Hachette Children\u2019s Group Award for Outstanding Contribution to Information Books.<\/p>\n<p>The overall winner (judges\u2019 choice) was <em>Survivors of the Holocaust<\/em> by Kath Shackleton, Zane Whittingham and Ryan Jones \u2013 making an exciting break with the children\u2019s nonfiction tradition by being in the form of a graphic novel. Is this something we\u2019ll see more of in future?
